INSIDE THE LINES TRAINING INC will host its' inaugural out of school mentoring program.

$20 per month per participant ($240 for the year)
ITL will have a monthly leadership conference for all registered scholars. Our vision is to
produce strong leaders whom will excel in academics, communication, and team building. We will provide principles, conflict resolution skills, as well as exercising the 5 components of Emotional Intelligence.
Sessions will occur once monthly on a Saturday from 10am-1pm. Participants will be provided
with lunch. Sessions will take place at 2627 Crums Lane. In addition to this meeting, we will also have one monthly community service event as a group.
Who can participate?
BOYS AND GIRLS
GRADES: 4-8
What to expect?
-Participants will be led through a series of topics and exercises that focus on their social
emotional learning. All learning material will be centered on 5 components of emotional
intelligence: Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Empathy, Motivation, and Social Skills.
- During each session participants will hear from a Guest Speaker, have breakout sessions with
small group discussion, and activities focused on each topic.
-They will be provided with opportunities to help promote their own leadership skills and assist
peers with their growth.
-Participants will receive recognition monthly for growth in their social behavior, academics,
and athletic achievement.
-Participants will be assigned mentors that will make consistent contact with them throughout
the month to help maintain their growth and leadership.
-ITL will also structure community service or participation at community events for participants
to take part in.
-Participants will continually work to develop their leadership guidebook. When completed at
the end of the year long program, students will have a personal guide book to take with them
to help sustain growth made.
-7TH AND 8TH GRADERS WILL BE OUR JUNIOR MENTORS for the younger participants. This
gives them the added responsibility to help mentor the younger participants.
-4TH, 5TH, 6TH GRADERS WILL BE MENTEES
