Anthony Richardson is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Inside the Lines Training, Inc. (ITL), which was started in 2017 as a 501c3 nonprofit organization.  ITL provides academic, leadership, and athletic support to students & student-athletes. Anthony helped start this organization because of his passion for helping students succeed in both the academic and athletic arenas.

Anthony helped start this organization because of his passion for helping students succeed in both the academic and athletic arenas. Anthony brings a wealth of expertise to ITL.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice (Cum Laude), a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching, Masters of Arts Degree as an Education Specialist/Supervisor of Instruction and Certification as a Special Education Middle School Teacher. From 2010-2013 he served as an investigative social worker for the State of KY, advocating for the welfare of children.  He is currently a certified teacher and behavior coach in the Jefferson County Public School Systems. In addition, he coaches football for area high schools and serves as the 8th Grade Defensive Line Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Kentucky Future Stars program.   

 

Anthony’s interest in helping student athletes stems from personal experience.  He started playing football at the age of four, continued playing through college, and reached the professional level. While playing for Kentucky State University, he was recognized for his talent by receiving such honors as All Conference 2007 & 2008 as well as Team Captain and Defensive MVP 2007 & 2008.  In addition, he was selected to play in the Division II All American Heritage Bowl.  After completing his bachelor’s degree, Anthony played Arena Football for the Montana Outlaws (2008-2009) and the Kentucky Xtreme, where he was the Team Captain and achieved First Team All-Conference 2013-2014.

 

From his vast experiences, Anthony understands enabling the success of student athletes requires addressing both their academic and athletic needs.  He is passionate about supporting their development in both areas.  He encourages students to strive for academic excellence while pursuing excellence in their sport of choice.  Prior to starting ITL, during his free time he held tutoring and skills development training at no cost. Mr. Richardson is married to Danielle, they reside in Louisville, KY with their two sons, Anthony II and Andrew.

Robert Harris is a native of Louisville, KY, where he attended DuPont Manual High School and discovered his passion for fitness. A three sport athlete in Football, Track, and Basketball, Harris found himself understanding the importance of excellence not only in sports but in his studies as well. Currently Robert serves as the Co-Owner of Inside The Lines Training Inc. and is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball program.

Harris is responsible for the day-to-day fitness of the men’s basketball team. In his first season with the program, he helped the Wildcats maintain peak physical condition as they reeled off an unprecedented 38 straight victories to start the 2014-15 season. He’s also responsible for the skills and athletic testing at Kentucky’s annual open practice, where scouts and general managers across the NBA attend two days of UK practice for a basis of physical measurements for future professional evaluations. Harris came to the University of Kentucky after serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football at the University of Arkansas.

 

Prior to his stint at Arkansas, Harris worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals for three years. With the Bengals, Harris was responsible for assisting in the development of the programs and weight room operations. He began his career as an intern with Kentucky’s football strength and conditioning program in 2009, before joining the Velocity Sports Performance staff. With Velocity, he assisted head performance coaches with workouts and assisted with development programs for NFL draft prospects. 

 

Harris then joined the staff as an intern with Ohio State’s football program, assisting with the coordinating and implementation of strength training and conditioning programs for the Buckeyes. He is certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, USA Weightlifting Club Coach, National Association of Speed and Explosion and Functional Movement Screen. He is also a certified Strength Abs Coach through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.

 

Harris is a 2009 graduate of Kentucky State University with a bachelor of arts in physical education. He earned a master’s degree at Eastern Kentucky University in sports administration in 2010. He and his wife, Maria, have two daughters, Anaya and Alaya.
